Women’s robes: History of appearance in Russia.

The dressing gown is a long -legged homemade clothing that fastenes or smells from top to bottom. Most often it is sewn from cotton fabric. In almost every house, a girl or woman has one or two robes that they often use. They became for us so familiar things that we do not even think about where exactly they appeared and how they got to Russia.

The robe hit our country straight from Asia. For many peoples of this region, the dressing gown is ordinary outerwear. In Northern India, Iran and Iraq, they are worn by both women and men. A high -quality robe is able to protect a person from the scorching sun during the day and a penetrating cold at night. Women’s bathrobes reflect the situation of a woman in society, as well as their well -being. In some countries of Asia, a richly embroidered robe is sometimes used as an honorary award.

In Russia, women’s robes have always been in honor. Fashion for these products came in the 18th century from Europe. Then our nobles did not quite correctly understand the purpose of this clothing. The fact is that many robes looked very bright and beautiful, and therefore the Russian aristocrats took them for ceremonial clothes and began to meet their guests in them.

Now the robes have ceased to be considered front clothes and turned into ordinary home things, in which it is very convenient to walk around the apartment or house. Usually women dress them after taking a bath or shower. Velor robes are particularly popular among girls at a given time.
