How to “turn on” feelings

How to “turn on” feelings

I think you know such an expression – “fresh life”. Life without taste, colorless, no. If this is happening recently, you need to urgently wake your feelings. An ordinary person has five feelings – vision, hearing, smell, touch and taste. There is still sixth – intuition, but we will not yet. When there is not enough inspiration, juiciness, brightness and new emotions you need to use all five feelings.

Vision – beautiful pictures, reading literature.

Hearing – listen to music, any. Sounds of nature, mantras, exotic, folk and various directions. No need to listen to the same compositions constantly. Try something unusual for you. Audiobooks, radio, everything will fit.

Smell – various aromas, perfumes, oriental spices. Smell like no other feeling wakes up memories. After all, this is the very first and most ancient sense of man. A newborn baby recognizes his mother by his smell.

Touch – we feel our touches with fingers and skin and when we touch us. We feel not only the texture of the object, but also its temperature, vibration. Remember how you stroke the purring cat: silky, warm wool, softness, purring. Continuous anti -stress!

Taste – sweet, spicy, sour, bitter, salty. And the tongue feels the texture of food, its temperature. Food is pleasure. We love to eat “tasty”. Read the book by Muriel Barberi “The treat”, unless of course you are on a diet))). See how she writes:

“A piece of apple pie is the most delicate, crumbly, crunchy dough, impudent-golden slices sprinkled with modest caramel crystals”.

You read the description and feel the taste of this pie in the tongue.

Many classes affect several feelings at once. For example,

– Film – eyesight, hearing are included.

– restaurant – taste, vision, touch, smell and hearing;

– perfume store – touch, smell, vision, hearing;

– Rest in nature – vision, hearing, smell and hearing, if it is a picnic, then the taste is still connected.

Sometimes you need to “turn off” some feelings so that others become more acute. It can be:

Eat with blindfolded eyes in complete silence.

Listen to music in complete darkness.

Watch paintings in the museum, better in full solitude.

Go to a relaxing massage.

With closed eyes to inhale various aromas. And read the book of Patrick Zyuskind “Perfumer”, and then still watch the film adaptation of this novel.

The most important thing is to focus on its sensations, to direct their attention to them, to plunge in them completely. After all, we are constantly surrounded by all five feelings, but we just don’t notice them. We eat without feeling the taste. Do not raise our heads to see the stars. We do not hear the grass rustling in the field. We do not pay attention to the aroma of a foggy morning. Do not steel a silky cat.

Just focus on the sensations, at the present moment. Do everything consciously, thoughtfully, leisurely. I guarantee you, you will forget what “fresh life” is.
