History of mini-skirts

History of mini-skirts

Such a world-famous part of the women’s wardrobe, like a mini-skirt, appeared much earlier than you assume. According to legend, the mistress of a small fashion store Mary Kuant went to her friend just at the time when she did a general cleaning. The inventive girl did not bother and plug the hem of her skirt by the belt, but simply took the scissors and cut it. Mary was amazed and did not fail to use this idea.

Dear ladies, you should also find out how to seduce the girl to fight the Macho who try to drag you to bed.

In this story, there is actually a share of truth. After all, every woman solved the problem with a long skirt that interferes with her in her own way. Why not get rid of it with scissors?

During the sewing of the first batch, mini residents of good old England joked that more matter was spent on handkerchiefs than on these skirts. First, in London, and then in New York, girls began to show more and most of their legs one after another. During one of the mods, the street movement completely stopped right on the streets of New York. Is there a joke – so many long -legged fashion models in mini! Over time, the mini-skirt entered the wardrobe of famous faces, ladies such as Jacqueline Kennedy and even the queen of England, who liked this innovation that she awarded the fashion designer by the Order of the British Empire, began to wear it.

There is an opinion that a sharp increase in the birth rate in those days is also directly related to the universal enthusiasm of the mini. It is true or not, it is not completely clarified, but the fact remains.

However, not all reviews about the mini were so enthusiastic. The famous fashion designer Coco Chanel did not like the mini allegedly due to the fact that she opens up such an unattractive (as she thought) part of the female legs, like her knees. In addition, many moral guardians were categorically against the mini-cube, which were shot up to indecent. But nothing could stop the era of mini.

Such is the officially famous story of the mini-ogum. But in fact there is another, much older and more interesting. Remember the Stone Age, at least by films made on its basis. And you will certainly remember girls dressed in short animal skins. Isn’t it a prototype of a typical mini-skirt? But not only films, but historical information confirm this fact. You may have heard about the girl from the egwed, whose remains were found not so long for excavations in Denmark. As established, this young girl, who lived in the 14th century BC, was about sixty centimeters of growth, had long blond hair and hands with impeccable manicure. And besides this, she was dressed in a typical semblance of modern fashion – clothes resembling a topic and mini -skirt.

Almost every girl and a woman in the closet have this wardrobe item. How often we use it, depends only on us. Someone dresses mini only in exceptional cases, being completely confident in accordance with this form of clothing and the situation. However, not everyone is so categorical. There are girls who cannot live a day without a super short skirt. In the summer on the beach, this is certainly appropriate and attractive. But in winter, in thirty -degree frost, such a phenomenon can cause a slight shock among others.

So, remember, everything is fine that in moderation. And perhaps, sometimes you should not give a blind tribute to fashion in pursuit of beauty.
